In the Current section, we bring an interview with Katarína Plačková, who won the Special Award of the Slovak Design Center as a partner of the New European Bauhaus initiative in Slovakia, and Robert Finkei, a model whose design works are richly represented at the NCD’24 exhibition. We were curious about how the members of the international jury evaluate this year’s communication design competition. We asked for a view from the other side of the respected designer Filip Blažek. Designum was a media partner of the Bratislava Design Week festival, and an interview with curator Damián Cehlárik sheds light on his author’s concept. In the Museums section, we bring an article about the jubilant glass artist Štěpán Pal, whose design works are also represented in the Slovak Museum of Design. In the Retrospective section, we included a review of the exhibitions of Vladimír Dedeček’s architectural work, which are held at the Slovak National Gallery. In Theoretical, we included two contributions from the Czech environment. One of them introduces the design collection at the Museum of Art and Design in Benešov, and another reviews the book Identity. The Story of Czech Graphic Design.
