
Silvia Seneši Lutherová

Mgr. Silvia Seneši Lutherová, PhD. is a historian and theorist of fine arts with a specialization in design and applied arts. From 2008 to 2023 she worked as a teacher at the Department of Theory and History of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague, and from 2011 to 2021 she was also an external lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague, Czech Republic. From 2011 to 2014 she was Vice-Rector for International Relations at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. She currently works at the Slovak Design Center as Deputy Director and Head of the Documentation and Information Department and also lectures on design theory at the FAD STU. In her scientific and professional work, she is dedicated to the topic of criticism and practice of design and interior design in the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic, as well as the issue of human-centered design and design oriented towards social and ecological sustainability. She participated in several exhibitions and publications, such as Design Forum 2023 – Humanity in Design, Biedemeier, School of Fine Arts in Bratislava 1928 – 1938, 320 Chairs – History of the Tatra Furniture Company Pravenec.
