Slovak Design Award 2025: Design Across the City

A new format has just been introduced as part of the National Design Award events in Bratislava: design works are coming directly into the streets. Instead of being presented in a traditional gallery setting, the nominated works — followed by the winning ones — are displayed on citylights in the city centre and wider central area, making them accessible to as many people as possible.

Exhibition in the City brings outstanding Slovak product design and visual culture directly into public space, where it can naturally engage a broad audience. Its aim is to popularise high-quality local design, promote its good name, and strengthen the public’s relationship with work that improves everyday life. This format opens up a dialogue with the city, makes the works accessible beyond museums and galleries, and extends their reach to new audiences.

Exhibition dates

• October 15–21: Presentation of the nominated works

• October 22–27: Presentation of the winning works
