Transparent

The Transparent exhibition explores the concepts of transparency as both translucence and manifestation (with “banners” translating to “transparent” in Slovak). A team of designers and creators developed three double-sided spatial frames, through which textiles printed with “enlarged” monotypes were stretched, filling the entire gallery. The frames, supported only by metal rods, were positioned diagonally, referencing the aesthetics of protest banners. The wooden frames acted as screens that divided the gallery space, shaping viewers’ perspectives of the artworks and the gallery’s exterior. This arrangement allowed visitors to engage intimately with the works from varying distances and narrow spaces, which were gradually revealed.
