Municipal Theater Žilina – series of posters from 2022, 2023 and 2024
Marcel Benčík’s posters for the Municipal Theater Žilina are characterized by a strong typographic element that plays with the names of individual plays. In these designs, the typeface itself becomes a visual focal point. The letters on the poster create dramatic, almost theatrical situations, reminiscent of actors on stage. At other times, they are combined with photos of real actors and actresses or with a theater scene in the background. The designer has successfully established a distinctive visual identity for the Municipal Theater Žilina, which has been engaging audiences since 2014.
