Experimentation and Reversibility: Palo Macho and Jana Hojstričová
Photographer Jana Hojstričová and glassmaker Palo Macho, both graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava where they currently teach, present their collaborative publication. This work explores their joint projects through a combination of images and text, as they say, in situ, highlighting their innovative contributions to the art scene. Over the years, they have skillfully merged photography with glass, evolving from 2D surfaces to 3D space through various technological experiments. Recently, they have stepped towards a complex representation of space in the form of joint installations The book includes interpretive texts by art historians Bohunka Koklesová, Marián Zervan, and Monika Mitášová. The innovative design of the publication works with rich photographic and textual material.
