
Eduardo Barrera Arambarri

Eduardo Barrera Arambarri has 30 years of professional experience. He studied graphic design at UNAM in Mexico city and holds a Master’s degree in Photography/Contemporary Media from the FUD UJEP in Ústí nad Labem. He has designed cultural and socio-political posters, institutional/corporate identities, publications, alphabets, motion graphics, advertising. His posters are known worldwide because of constant participation in international competitions: these works have been shortlisted, awarded, exhibited, and published in specialized catalogs, books, and magazines. He has also received various international awards, Grand Prix at the International Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno, Bronze Medal at the International Poster Biennial in Mexico; Third Place Award from the Triennial of Ecological Poster in Karchov; with Veronika Barrera, they won the Bronze Award at the International Exhibition of Contemporary Ink Design in Beijing, Special Prize at the Quadrennial of Poster in Bardejov. He has also served as a juror at international competitions in Mexico, the Czech Republic and Beijing. He participated in the design and production of the exhibition “Manifold” by Erick Beltrán, which was part of the larger exhibition “Documenta 15” in Kassel. In Slovakia, he and Veronika Barrera designed posters for the cultural events “Music Rosarium” (Dolná Krupá) and “Piestany according to winter”. He is currently finishing his PhD studies at FMK UTB Zlín in the Czech Republic. He works and teaches in Europe and Mexico.
