EuroTypes
EuroTypes is a book that showcases the typefaces created in the Typolab studio at the AFAD in Bratislava from the year 2009 to the present. The book includes 271 typefaces, resulting in an approximately 900-page publication. The typefaces are presented through three conceptual sections (sketches, character listings, and typeface usage) using the Ecce Homo metaphor, which acts as a divider between each section, clearly distinguished by the color of the fore-edge. Navigation through this extensive book is facilitated by a unique system where each typeface retains the same number across all sections. A fourth section comprises descriptions of the typefaces and interviews with Typolab educators and typeface creators. The book’s external presentation is an alternative version of the European flag.
