COMMON SPACE PLATFORM CONFERENCE

4. June 2025 – 6. June 2025

From June 4 to 6, 2025, the international conference Common Space Platform is taking place in Warsaw. The event is organized by the Narodowy Instytut Architektury i Urbanistyki with the aim of connecting professional institutions across Europe that are dedicated to architecture, urbanism, and design as a shared European cultural heritage. The event provides participating institutions with an opportunity to present their activities, exchange know-how, establish contacts, and potentially join new initiatives. Closed workshops and project partner presentations are complemented by excursions and evening panel discussions on current topics for both professionals and the general public. Slovakia is represented at the conference by the Slovak Design Center.

The conference was preceded by a series of visits by Polish colleagues to individual partner institutions, where they familiarized themselves not only with their research, publishing, collection-building, and exhibition activities, but also conducted research on their public programs, communication strategies, and international collaborations. Based on the collected data, they identified topics that connect or challenge these types of institutions, and where the exchange of experience has the potential to develop into long-term cooperation.
