Non-places

The graphic processing of the Nemiesta project counters the place-specificity of Miroslav Tóth’s music with its experimental form. Nemiesta’s LPs were created by upcycling, and every single piece is an original. The cover and the medium itself. All the materials used have already been used before. Old covers of socialist vinyls from Opus shine through under the screen printing of the new names, two hundred records were produced manually one by one by VINYL Lab from Trenčín, and each one looks a little different. The booklet also works with recycling. Not just paper. Lucia Mlynček-Tóthová took medium-format black-and-white pictures of spaces and musicians on the camera of her grandfather, the architect Ján H. Blich from Trenčín.
