Corporate identity of the Palma development project

Ján Zachar- main author

The Palma project is a unique urban development in Bratislava. A self-sufficient urban district will be created on a area of brownfield after the former factory. The developer Corwin cooperated with danish studio Gehl Architects. We found a unique graphic language for the identity, consisting of simple stylized elements referring to the architecture of Palma, but also to the principles on which Palma will be built – a pedestrian city, sustainability, better transport, accessibility. The inspiration from Denmark is also evident in Palma’s identity – in the purity of the shapes or the typography inspired by Copenhagen’s traffic signs. We have chosen an unusual colour scheme for a developer who doesn’t shout, wants to make people feel comfortable. The way they will feel in the new Palma.
