BOBO

The animated short BOBO was specially commissioned for the Dúhovka kindergarten in Martin, catering to children with visual impairments. The clients of the project are Eye clinic Uvea/UVEA mediklinik and Dúhovka – children’s eye center. The animated film tells the story of Bob, a boy with poor vision who wears a “nasty” eye patch, invents extraordinary things, and desires ordinary glasses. The tale guides young viewers to understand the importance of helping each other, that poor eyesight and difficult situations can improve over time, and that while miracles do happen, sometimes they require effort. The animation was crafted from paper through folding, cutting, and creating relief figures and backgrounds, with the subsequent reproduction and movement reflecting the distinctive style of the designer and animator duo Ové Pictures.
