Wianek

„Wianki“ is a Slavic ritual associated with the summer solstice. On
this day, young people gather by the Vistula river and release
wreaths onto the water. According to beliefs, this tradition allows to
predict the future of one’s love life and marital status. In Poland, as
a remnant of the old tradition, a large celebration commemorating
these customs takes place at the end of June. Historically, this
ritual became a manifestation of freedom and patriotism.
