Second light
The fashion industry produced requires intensive use of water, both
during cotton cultivation and the production process. A large portion
of this production takes place in countries where water is scarce,
leading to the risk of depleting water resources and thus aecting
local communities and the natural environment. Water pollution
resulting from the production process, in the form of dyes, chemicals,
and other substances, is often dumped into rivers and oceans, polluting
aquatic ecosystems.
