Hviezdoslavov Kubín
The concept of the proposed visual identity for the Slovak school poetry and prose reciting competition honors Slovak literary artists. Each year’s theme was based on a different literary work, which influenced the form of the graphic design and the reflection of the specific work. Over nearly three years, visual identities were created for the following years: the 67th year featured Pavel Országh Hviezdoslav’s poem Searching for Myself, the 68th year highlighted Ján Smrek’s poem Eyes, and the 69th year showcased Veronika Dianišková’s work Us – in the Middle. The latter also referenced the tragic events of that year. White symbolizes light in the darkness and the glow that the contestants themselves bring. The text in the background represents chaos and unrest.
