Arbofix – Tree Fixation System, Living Shelter
The fixing bracket for trees is a tool for guiding tree growth and supporting inosculation, the natural fusion of trunks into a single entity. It stabilizes young trees and enables the formation of living, self-supporting structures that, over time, grow stronger and larger, gradually replacing the original framework. This system opens possibilities for long-term collaboration between humans and nature, aiming for the sustainable use of trees as both structural and aesthetic elements. In contrast to the fast pace of consumer culture, it offers an alternative rooted in slow design, with dual function and lifespan: a temporary structure gives way to a living form that can endure for centuries.
