THE HOSE COLLECTION
THE HOSE COLLECTION explores the potential of material as a medium of movement. The body of each lamp is formed from a fire hose, a material discovered through an open process of prototyping and experimentation. The hose excels in flexibility, durability, and a clean material composition without the need for additional components. By simply bending, compressing, or straightening it, users can intuitively direct the light upward, downward, or sideways. This play enables diverse compositions and forms, without any mechanical joints. The project meaningfully repurposes short standardized hose sections that would otherwise go unused and become production waste. The collection includes table and floor models in various sizes and colorways.
