SNG Sans
SNG Sans is a custom typeface designed for the visual identity of the renovated Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava. Inspired by Futura and Universal Grotesk, the two typefaces that dominated design in Czechoslovakia in the 2nd half of the 20th century, when the gallery’s iconic bridge was built. SNG Sans is a geometric sans-serif typeface with eight weights, italics, small caps, wide language support, multiple figure sets, and OpenType features. Intended primarily for headline setting, it offers a wide range of weights and multiple glyph variants. A special stylistic set with more natural proportions aids readability in smaller sizes. A complementary variable font allows dynamic weight and slant adjustments. Also included is a set of icons, sharing the visual language of the typeface.
