Rainbow Bowls Limited
In my practice, I have long focused on advancing digital craftsmanship through 3D printing, pushing the boundaries of visual expression and exploring innovative production methods. In the Rainbow Bowls Limited collection, I use a technique of assembling separately 3D-printed, translucent PLA layers into the resulting object. This method creates a visual effect in which colors blend into gradients that shift with the viewing angle and lighting conditions. Each bowl is digitally modeled from hand-drawn sketches, ensuring that each object is unique. The process is intentionally simple, relying on standard materials and widely accessible 3D printers, and it results in an expanding collection of rainbow bowls, each a unique collector’s piece that can also serve as a vase.
