Hold Me
Hold Me is a project that includes wall shelves, tables, and mirrors. the result of experiments with ceramics and their combination with metal and glass. The shelf brackets, table bases, and mirror frames are made by hand extruding clay, which is left in its raw state, with cracks and deformations that reveal its natural beauty. Metal and glass components provide functional and visual contrast to the objects, reflecting the tension between fragility and strength, craft and design. Conceptually, the project is about connections and contrasts, about mutual support, but also about the fragility of relationships, much like the contrasting union of a ceramic load-bearing element with a metal shelf. Hold Me addresses tension and the limits of capacity, both symbolically and literally.
