Chair – Between Human and Nature
This project explores the human relationship with nature through the object of a chair. It combines a raw tree trunk with a delicate steel structure, a contrast between nature and technology. Through the personal experience of felling a tree and fully processing it, I raise questions of ecological responsibility, conscious production, and the human desire to dominate nature. The trunk, uprooted from its environment, takes on the form of an artifact, a fragment of forest displayed like a relic. The resulting chair is not merely a functional object, but a visual and conceptual reflection of our current relationship with materials and landscape.
