Kristína Bartošová is an art director and graphic designer born in Bratislava and based in Graz, Austria. She studied visual communication at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. Her work ranges from visual identities, publication design, and web design to lettering and type design, and is characterized by bold typography. Her process is always grounded in research and conceptualization, resulting in strong, seemingly simple, effortless work.
Her clients include the New York Times Magazine, Spotify, Harry’s Labs, Oribe, Athletic Greens, Target, Universalmuseum Joanneum, and We Are Not Sisters, as well as New York agencies High Tide, Mythology, Creech Studio, and Studio Proba. She is also the creative director and designer of the American lifestyle magazine Gossamer. Her work has received the German Design Award and the Joseph Binder Award, and has been exhibited, among others, at the Type Directors Club in New York and at Vienna Design Week.
