Summer Exhibition at the Design Museum

The Slovak Design Museum in Bratislava opens its summer season with a curated selection of works from its collections exploring summer themes and motifs through graphic design.

Visitors will encounter original artworks as well as historical and contemporary editions of books, magazines, illustrations and posters by leading designers including Jozef Babušek, Tomáš Berka, Miroslav Cipár, Vlastimil Herold, Jan Meisner, Svetozár Mydlo and Ivan Popovič.

Spanning the period from the 1960s to the 1980s, the exhibition presents the ways in which summer was visually interpreted across a range of media and formats.

Permanent Exhibition: dizajn.sk

Throughout the Summer Exhibition, visitors can also explore dizajn.sk – The History, Present and Future of Slovak Design, the museum’s permanent exhibition. Through a curated selection from the Slovak Design Museum’s collections, it presents representative, timeless and distinctive works of Slovak design from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Admission

  • Full admission: €2

  • Reduced admission for ISIC, ITIC and EURO 26 cardholders, and visitors aged 60+: €1

  • Free admission for children under 15 and visitors with severe disabilities, including one accompanying person
