Piquero

Piquero is a new Panamanian rum brand designed for the Slovak and European markets. Our task was to create the name, logo, and packaging design. The name Piquero is derived from the Spanish name of the bird Piquero Patas Azules (in English, the Blue-footed Booby), which inhabits the coasts of Central and South America and is known for its striking azure blue legs. This name effectively defines the brand and label’s central character. The Piquero logo features a stylized black-and-white illustration of the bird with highlighted blue legs and beak. The logo is complemented by text describing the drink’s taste characteristics, presented in the style of vintage commercial signage. The distinctive blue color and illustration serve as strong elements of the marketing communication. The product line also includes Piquero Rojo rum, featuring the Piquero Patas Rojas bird as its central character.
