Black Holes × Betliar Museum: Industry and the Andrássy Family
The Čierne Diery association organized a risograph exhibition at the Andrássy Museum in Betliar, highlighting the region’s deteriorating industrial heritage left by this noble family. The exhibition also included historical items from the museum’s collections. New graphics from a collective of Slovak artists were installed in historical frames that remained in the mansion after the previous theft of paintings. The installation included a roller decoration on brightly colored panels, distinctively featuring motifs like blast furnaces, smelters, mining towers, and carts from the local countryside, contrasting with the mansion’s usual decorative elements. This roller decoration also nods to the hand-decorated homes of working-class families.
