Maria Bartuszová – Catalogue Raisonné
The monograph on sculptor Mária Bartuszová presents the work of one of Slovakia’s most significant artists. An important part of her monograph is the complete list of works—Catalog Raisonné. The design of the monograph is intentionally minimalist to ensure that the focus remains on the extensive and visually sensitive content. In the printing process, a straight gray color was used for microtypes, duplexes, and chapter breaks. Additionally, the chapter dividers are the only elements with a bleed, serving as functional navigation aids visible along the edge of the extensive publication. The cover of the book shows a photo of Bartuszová in her studio, printed in two direct colors on canvas. The monograph was edited by Gabriela Garlatyová, with contributions from both domestic and international art historians, including Ruth Noack, Joanna Mytkowska, Jan Verwoert, Noemi Smolik, and Vladimír Beskid. All photos were professionally edited by Pavel Kardoš.
