Deep within the utilitarian backrooms of a former hotel in the heart of Bratislava, a new ruin bar is taking shape. The experience of unconventional drinks goes hand in hand with the distinctive environment surrounding the visitor. Light installations made from often-overlooked twin-wall polycarbonate become central elements in each room. Using parametric design and fabrication, these modular compositions, enhanced by dynamic lighting design, respond to the recurring grid motif of a modern yet sensitive restoration. Contemporary LED technology adds subtle animated transformations that gently shift the atmosphere throughout the visit, creating a sense of both connection and separation within the space. A simple drink thus becomes a unique multisensory experience.
