ŠKODA x BOTAS “Concept Shoe”
In collaboration with Botas, we created a contemporary footwear concept. It was designed to reflect Škoda’s new design language, Modern Solid. We followed the principles of Material Driven design and used innovative textile manufacturing technology, 3D knitting, and recycled and recyclable polyester yarns. The thick outsole, made from recyclable, flexible TPU and 3D printing, supports zero-waste production and sustainability. Vegan leather complements the robust silhouette and incorporate an iconic Botas element—the wedge, which we transformed into variable lacing system. The newly patented outsole pattern and non-contrast color palette are intended to look functional and authentic. I believe that the combination of rapid prototyping and traditional manufacturing defined the project’s possibilities and culminated in this concept.
